Precision Optical Windows for Lasers
ARD Optics manufactures standard and high-precision optical windows from sapphire and a wide range of optical glass and crystal materials.
High-precision windows are used as laser output couplers, transmissive optics with high laser damage threshold (LDT), protective windows, beam splitters, and substrates for precision optical and electronic applications.
Materials available:
Sapphire, Fused silica (KU-1, UV-grade), KI (IR-grade), BK-7 glass, Si, Ge, ZnS, ZnSe, MgF₂, BaF₂, BBO, Zerodur, Pyrex.
Typical applications:
- Laser output couplers — transmissive optics with high laser damage threshold (LDT), used in CO₂, Nd:YAG, fiber, and diode laser systems
- Protective windows — shielding sensitive optical and electronic components from dust, moisture, and mechanical damage in industrial laser equipment
- Beam splitters — dividing or combining laser beams in interferometers, metrology systems, and laser diagnostics
