Sapphire and glass blanks of different configuration
Custom & Free-Form Optical Components, blanks of different configuration
ARD-Optics manufactures components that fall outside standard catalog shapes — crucibles, irregularly shaped rods, and free-form parts made to the customer's individual specifications and drawings.
This includes windows, prisms, and pyramids with holes, steps, or other non-standard features, as well as components of complex, irregular geometry that cannot be produced by most manufacturers. Precision of form, dimensional accuracy, and surface quality are maintained even in the most complex configurations.
Blanks can be divided into the following groups:
- Round and rectangular, composite, polyhedral, and elliptic discs
- Cones, truncated cones
- Spherical domes
- Spheres
- Cylinders, rods & tubes
- Stepped cylinders
- Pyramids, truncated and combined pyramids
Materials available:
Sapphire, quartz glass (fused silica), N-BK7, Zerodur, MgF₂, BaF₂, optical glass, ceramics, and other optical and infrared materials.
Typical applications:
- Laboratory and analytical crucibles for chemical processes
- Custom laser and optical systems
- Scientific and research instrumentation
- Medical devices
- Industrial equipment requiring non-standard optical geometry
If your component doesn't fit a standard category, contact us with your drawing or specification — ARD-Optics manufactures custom parts to order.
